Alderman Frank Worley

Chairman of association

Alderman Frank Worley, Chairman PSCA since the imposition of the Association’s “Supported Status” in October 2018. A member of Portsmouth City Council from 1984 to 2006, representing St Thomas Ward. He became deputy leader of the Conservative Group under Cllr Ian Gibson in 1998 and leader in 2002 on Ian Gibson’s retirement. The Tri-Party agreement of 2004 saw the Council Executive Members shared equally amongst the 3 parties with himself as leader for the year. The Council vote to Honour him with the Aldermanic position was unique in that no less than 6 liberal democrats voted against the proposition. He retired as an elected representative in 2006 and went to live in Brittany France.

Since being Elected as Chairman in October 2018 both he and the PSCA Executive Officers have sought to manage the Association for the benefit of the members and to promote the Conservative cause in the Constituency of Portsmouth South. Providing an organisation that helps to get candidates prepared to be elected as City Councillors and also as Members of Parliament.
